Remember Dave the Diver, that charming blend of exploration and hotel management that caught our attention almost three years ago?
Well, it’s getting a prequel of sorts, with the hotel’s very committed chef, Bancho, getting his own title, which is likely going to explore his early years as a chef.
The gameplay in the aptly named Bancho the Chef is as eccentric as you’d expect if you happened to have caught Dave the Diver, with a healthy mix of cooking up some truly exotic-looking dishes, and a story that’s looking like it could have you laughing out loud quite a lot. That’s a recipe for a fun time if we ever saw one.
While there aren’t any further details on the story and gameplay, other than a glimpse of Bancho’s love for sushi being born in front of us, what we’ve seen has us pretty curious to see how this one turns out. If it’s anything like Dave, we’re expecting a hell of a good time, as that one was quite the entertainer back then.
The trailer this one got at the latest State of Play says it’s in development for the PS5, although there’s no release date as of now.
