Dead by Daylight Dev is Working on a New Multiplayer IP, Job Ads Suggest

Behaviour Interactive has multiple job listings up that suggest that the developer is working on a new multiplayer game for PC and current-gen consoles.

Behaviour Interactive has enjoyed incredible success in recent years thanks to its asymmetrical multiplayer horror title Dead b Daylight, a game that has consistently grown and expanded in intriguing ways to not only keep its player base satisfied, but to consistently keep adding to it as well. And while it’s unlikely that that game will go away anytime soon, it seems the developer has more stuff in the pipeline as well.

As spotted by Veryaligaming, Behaviour Interactive currently has a bunch of job listings up that seem to indicate that the studio is working on another upcoming game. Listings for Console System Programmer, Online System Programmer, and System Designer indicate that a new, unannounced multiplayer IP is currently in development at the studio for PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC.

As per the job listings, the title will be a competitive multiplayer experience adopting a live service model (no surprises there), with plenty of mentions of player progression systems, maintaining and balancing the in-game economy, inventory systems, scoreboards and achievements, and cross-platform multiplayer.

Of course, that a new multiplayer game is in the works at one of the most successful multiplayer studios out there shouldn’t come as a huge shock to anyone, but the details on the project coming out of these listings are certainly interesting. How long it will be before the game gets officially announced remains to be seen, but given the cache Behaviour Interactive has built up over the years with Dead by Daylight, it goes without saying that people will be looking on with interest.

Earlier this year, Behaviour Interactive acquired Scavengers studio Midwinter Entertainment, with reports claiming that the studio had been put to work on a new unannounced title. Read more on that through here.
