Dead Cells

Dead Cells has been an incredible hit for developer Motion Twin, and it looks like the company has no plans of just resting on its laurels. Speaking on the game’s Steam page, the developer hashed out some ideas about what the game’s first planned major post launch update will entail, including the addition of a new Custom Mode.

The Custom Mode will allow players a new degree of control over the game, including letting them ban some weapons from the loot table once they are unlocked, or select the abilities that they start out with- the kinds of things that can be helpful in an otherwise procedurally generated game. That apart, the update will also include bug fixes and general improvements.

The update is planned to go into beta late October or early November, and Motion Twin promises a free DLC pack for the game to follow afterwards (though no date for that was shared). Dead Cells is out now on Switch, PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
