Looks like EA’s coming out all guns blazing with Dead Space. Having announced a downloadable, standalone prologue for Dead Space 2 earlier today, they’ve now announced that the sequel to EA’s breakthrough survival horror title will be getting two more pieces of accompanying media: Dead Space Aftermath, which is an animated movie that seeks to clear the air surrounding the decidedly dodgy Aegis VII mission; and Dead Space Salvage, which is a graphic novel recounting the aventures and story of some rogue miners, all of whom hail from USG Ishimura.
Executive producer of the Dead Space franchise, Steve Papoutsis, is understandably excited about the franchise’s expansions and growth. “It is tremendously inspiring to see Dead Space continually expand to more media,” he said.
“It has always been our goal to experience the universe through multiple lenses and our vision is being realized. The Dead Space world is living, breathing, and terrifying. We couldn’t be more excited about these new offerings.”
Both, the animated feature and the comic, will be available this winter, as part of the marketing blitz for Dead Space 2.
