Trion Worlds has released an all new developer diary detailing precisely what Defiance is and how it epitomises the new-fangled notion of an MMO Shooter on consoles.
So Defiance is a lobby-less third-person where the world of Defiance is ‘always on’, despite your presence or not, on the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC and tied in to a simultaneous SyFy live-action series which runs in parallel to world events, in what Trion Worlds call the “first interconnect video game and television series.”
Production for the series began in April 2012, so it’s anybody’s guess as to when the television series and game will be released.
