Demon’s Souls “sequel” gets a new name

Posted By | On 01st, Feb. 2011

The spiritual sequel to 2009’s Demon’s Souls has recently been given a new name, and shall now be called Dark Souls. The previously titled Project Dark will see more exploration, a completely new world and story and the same challenge you knew and loved in the original game. The hub world structure of Demon’s Souls will also apparently be usurped in favour of a seamlessly connected suite of stages.

Other changes include character creation no longer being based on class, which will hopefully tailor the game better to individual play styles. The online component of Demon’s Souls will also remain, though soul tendencies have been dropped so that dedicated servers won’t have to be used.

Check back for more news on Dark Soul’s as it comes to light.

Thanks to CVG for the info.
