Destiny 1 Silver Listing On Steam Was An Error, Bungie Confirms

That's one hell of a mistake, considering there were actual transactions made for it...

A listing for Destiny 1 Silver surfaced on Steam and SteamDB some time ago, leading to speculation that Bungie might be bringing the original game to PC after all, releasing it over Steam. However, it turns out that listing was a mistake- David ‘DeeJ’ Dague, community manager for Bungie, confirmed on Twitter that the listing was an error.

He also confirmed that anyone who managed to spend money on it will be refunded manually by Valve, apologizing for the error. Of course, how you can make a mistake of this magnitude – selling something that does not exist – is beyond me, but hey. It looks like DeeJ agrees with me on that one, too.

PC players who want to play Destiny can buy Destiny 2 on PC in October- however, it will not be sold over Steam. Instead, they can get it via Battle.Net (which also makes Destiny 2 the first non Blizzard game to be supported by the client).
