There’s very little doubt that when Destiny launched, there were all kinds of people who wished the game had a more complete and intense story line than it offers up. While Bungie has brought other DLC since that launch it the company is talking about House of Wolves being the content that will indeed bring a story that gamers can love.

Talking to Gamespot, Bungie creative director Matt Sammons said that House of Wolves will actually tell its own story in a variety of different ways. “From a high-level perspective, there are two big categories of content that you get in a story. There are the quests that take you throughout the world, the backbone of the story that has you chasing down Skolas. And then there are these wanted Fallen bounties. You’ll notice when you’re roaming around the world, we have specific named enemies all over the place, and among various destinations. Petra’s bounties, not the quests, but the bounties, those are meant to send you out to go hunt those Fallen down.”

Sammons added that he believes the story of House of Wolves will be able to tell its story through narration and action but it will also have more compelling and dynamic characters. Sammons said playes will meet Petra and Variks; who are fallen characters that gamers will be able to interact with in new and interesting ways. Finally Sammons said that House of Wolves will be an evolution from what the Dark Below expansion offered. Destiny’s House of Wolves will be available on May 19.
