destiny house of wolves dlc release date

Bungie has finally dated the next big expansion for Destiny, the eagerly awaited House of Wolves. Along with new weapons and gear, the expansion will introduce new story missions that sees Guardians joining with the Queen of the Reef to hunt down the Fallen traitors.

According to the expansion’s official description, not only will there be new story missions but there will also be, “three new competitive multiplayer maps, and a new cooperative Strike.” It also seems that we’ll be getting “a new competitive elimination mode in the Crucible and an all-new arena activity – The Prison of Elders.”

If you’ll recall, the Prison of Elders is where the Winter’s Run boss, the Archon Priest, came from. Could this be the new raid? We’ll have to wait to find out but Bungie will reveal more information in the coming weeks (the next date being April 22nd).

Destiny’s House of Wolves expansion is out on May 19th for Xbox 360, Xbox One, PS3 and PS4.
