It returns...

Destiny Rise of Iron

According to what Game Informer are reporting it sounds like the IceBreaker will be available as a drop when completing Zavala’s Nightfall Bounty very soon. This is going to accompany an update that will apparently change up the Strike Scoring system in the game significantly.

Ice Breaker is one of the classic Destiny Year 1 weapons, since fallen into disuse, given the dramatic changes that the metagame has undergone with the release of Rise of Iron and The Taken King. It seems that this weapon, which used to dominate higher level play during Destiny‘s year 1, will be made available again through this bounty, now redesigned and light boosted so that it can keep up in the metagame of Destiny Year 3.

Will it dominate higher level play again? Who can tell? That is something for the community to decide. Destiny is available on PS4 and Xbox One, with versions also available on PS3 and Xbox 360, which will not be supported with any new content.
