Destiny, in the end, was not necessarily a bad game, just a massively disappointing one. That said, it is still a game I would recommend, especially to MMO and shooter fans. If you were one of those people who always wanted to check the game out, but weren’t willing to pony up full price for it – trust me, I understand that impulse – well, here is some good news for you. Leading US games retailer GameStop is having a ‘spring sale,’ so to speak, and the first batch of games that it is offering for cheap includes Destiny, for just $30- a price at which it can be unflinchingly recommended.
Apart from this, other deals being offered at GameStop include:
- $20 off Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare, available March 23-31
- $20 off LEGO Batman 3 for Xbox One, Xbox 360,PS4, PS3, and Wii U, available March 28-29
- $30 off Far Cry 4, available April 1-7
- $40 off Assassin’s Creed Unity, available April 1-7
That’s not all, however. If you trade in or buy used at GameStop, then you will appreciate this bevy of deals as well:
- Buy a pre-owned 3DS or DSi system, get any two pre-owned 3DS or DS games under $20 for free, available March 23-April 5
- Buy any two pre-owned Xbox 360/PS3/Wii games, get one free, exclusive offer to PowerUp Rewards members on April 1 and to all customers April 2-5
- Buy two pre-owned Skylanders, Disney Infinity, or amiibo interactive game figures, get two free, March 23-April 5
Finally, GameStop has confirmed that some time over the next month, it will hold a special sale for ‘Toys To Life’ (Skylanders, Disney Infinity, Amiibo) figures, but specific details for that will be revealed later.
