Destiny Iron Banner

While there are plenty of people who are grinding away inside Destiny’s The Taken King, it appears Bungie is going to be changing up just the way grinding is going to be working moving forward. We’ve seen a ton of new weapons pop up with the latest release and it appears that some of those weapons are actually going to get a bit of a power juice in addition to some light levels getting a boost. There is some year 2 gear that is getting an upgrade and there is even some year one stuff that will be getting a boost as well.

The report says that some armor and weapons are going to be getting a big bump up to 330 Armor/Attack. That bump is an increase of 20 over the current max, meaning players will be able to go quite a bit over the current cap of 310 Light Level. The big caveat here is of course, that not all weapons and armor are going to be getting this boost. While the amount of items getting this is fairly big, it’s not everything and some people are likely going to be a bit annoyed their favorite weapons and armor are left out in the cold.

According to the site, the following weapons are the ones getting the big bump:

  • Monte Carlo
  • SUROS Regime
  • Zhalo Supercell
  • Hawkmoon
  • The Last Word
  • Bad Juju
  • Red Death
  • Telesto
  • Invective
  • The 4th Horseman
  • Hereafter
  • Thunderlord
  • Truth
  • Jade Rabbit

It should be noted that weapons like the Sleeper Simulant are apparently not getting the boost in Destiny The Taken King.
