Destiny The Taken King Raid Armour Discovered, Hints at King’s Fall Features

Guardians should be prepared for a new relic and being "torn between dimensions".

Destiny The Taken King

After launching update 2.0 yesterday for Destiny to include several new weapons, gear and items coming in The Taken King, it was revealed that DestinyDB had unearthed several other interesting discoveries, the most interesting addition being the King’s Fall raid armour.

Raid armour has usually been considered the highest tier of armour in Destiny and as such is coveted. However, the perk descriptions of the various armour pieces also point at intriguing new mechanics for the raid. One such perk allows for increased armour when using the relic of the raid while another provides faster reload when inside an “aura”. Then there’s increased agility on boots while “torn between dimensions”.

It’s also worth noting that there are two sets of gear – Normal and Hallowed – and it’s possible that these are Normal and Heroic variants of each gear piece. Then again, since this isn’t official confirmation from Bungie by any means, we’ll need to wait for Destiny: The Taken King to be out on September 15th for Xbox One, PS4, PS3 and Xbox 360.
