There’s very little doubt that the Destiny’s The Taken King is going to be bringing quite a bit of new stuff when the DLC finally launches. We already know that there are going to be some weapons permanently rebalanced when this new content lands and we also now know that there are going to be some new sub-classes coming along with the new gameplay. During a Taken King livestream conducted by Bungie, we also found out there is going to be at least one new sword weapon, which is apparently called the Arc Edge.

Eagle eyed livestream viewers over at DualShockers saw something rather interesting towards the end of the broadcast. They noticed that one of the characters that was shaking their groove thing, had a sword strapped to their back. While the Bungie employees who are doing the livestream did not issue some massive statement talking a ton about this new weapon, Community Manager David “Deej” Dague did actually hover over it at one point in order to show off some of its stats. We also know that you can use L2 in order to block with this particular sword.

The really big piece of good news that comes along with this little revelation is that it appears you’ll be able to keep this particular weapon. Being able to equip the Arc Edge for more missions than the one certainly sounds pretty attractive. Watching the livestream, we also saw that vaults are going to be increased to hold 72 pieces of weapons and armor. Check out the pics below in order to see the proof in the pudding.
