Destiny The Taken King

Bungie’s Destiny had a live-stream yesterday showcasing more content from The Taken King, including the level 36 Shield Brothers strike. While we covered most of the new details from the stream, you can check out gameplay and commentary from the same courtesy of DattoDoesDestiny below.

The strike helped showcase Bungie’s new philosophy when it comes to bosses, implementing more dynamic behaviours and less bullet-sponge mechanics, encouraging players to move around and deal with minions while also contending with the brothers.

Though some elements were very familiar including the Goliath Tank that popped up in between, the new subclasses – especially the Titan’s Hammer of Sol – look very cool. Time will tell how much content there will ultimately be in The Taken King so stay tuned in the coming weeks.

Destiny: The Taken King will release on September 15th for Xbox One, Xbox 360, PS3 and PS4. What are your thoughts on the new strike? Let us know in the comments below.
