Destiny

Bungie’s live-stream for Destiny: The Taken King revealed several new details for the game including the release date for the King’s Fall raid being September 18th, 10 AM PST. We also got a look at Court of Oryx, the new public event system in the Dreadnaught but the star of the show was the Raze-Lighter, an Exotic heavy which is actually a sword. And it hits enemies like a truck.

You can view footage of the sword’s attacks and perks from the stream (courtesy of DattoDoesDestiny). Some of the perks range from increasing the damage of your R2/RT attack to increasing the amount of sword energy you can use. As established in the stream, the Raze-Lighter is part of an Exotic quest-line and won’t be obtainable anywhere else (and isn’t subject to RNG it seems).

Destiny: The Taken King is out on September 15th for Xbox One, Xbox 360, PS3 and PS4. What are your thoughts on the Raze-Lighter and Court of Oryx? Let us know in the comments.
