Destiny Weekly Reset: Shield Brothers Nightfall, Heroic Strike Modifiers and More

Ah, repetition.

Destiny Rise of Iron

The weekly reset has come and gone for Bungie’s Destiny, bringing new activities or at least the same things you’ve been doing but with slightly different modifiers (probably).

The Nightfall is Shield Brother with Solar Burn, Epic, Juggler, Grounded and Catapult. This translates to no jumping and the end boss fight being an exercise in frustration. But hey, you can throw grenades more often and rely on weapons like Sleeper Simulant and Gjallarhorn.

The SIVA Crisis Heroic playlist has Heroic, Void Burn, Small Arms and Fresh Troops as modifiers, which isn’t too bad unless you’re dealing with Taken. Challenge of the Elders features Brawler and Ironclad as modifiers with grenade kills granting more points. Bosses include Overmind Minotaur, Sylok the Defiled and Noru’usk, Servant of Oryx.

A patch will be going live later today to increase the max Light level to 400 along with changing several drops to accommodate for the increased cap. It’s not a bad idea to wait for the patch to go live at 10 AM PST before venturing forth into the Nightfall.
