Devil May Cry HD Collection Gets 2.6GB Patch

But what does it do?

Devil May Cry 4 Special Edition

Capcom has silently released a new update, update 1.01, for the recently released Devil May Cry HD Collection on the PS4, Xbox One, and PC. So far, so good, right? But stay with me here.

The new update comes in at a whopping 2.6GB, which means it’s fairly massive—you’d expect that this might mean that this update helps address the plethora of issues the remaster has, which has netted it so much criticism and bad reviews all around, am I right?

Well… according to the official patch notes, here’s what it does: Bug fixes and simplified Chinese implementation. Yep, that’s all the patch notes say it does, at least on the PS4. Why this needed 2.6GB, I do not know—on the other hand, there is the possibility that it is more substantial than the patch notes imply, and we just don’t know it yet.

Or it’s just Capcom being Capcom.
