Devs Talk About Bulletstorm’s Craziest Weapons

Posted By | On 11th, Sep. 2010

Bulletstorm is known for being the game that rewards you for killing people in different kind of ways. And for that, obviously you need cool, innovative weapons- insane weapons. And the weapons in Bulletstorm are insane. Which is the most insane, though? The devs talk about it.

Bulletstorm’s creative director Adrian Chmielarz, while speaking to gaming magezine PS3M didn’t tell which weapon is the wildest, yet he did give a hint: “The wildest one is something I can’t talk about. I can give you a hint, though. It’s a projectile-based weapon from the folks who did Painkiller.”

Is it a… painkiller?

Thought Chmielarz did tell us which his favourite weapon is out of all those that have been announced till yet. “I love the Flail Gun. Not just because it’s a technical marvel – it took us more than three months to get that one thing right – but because it’s so wrong,” he said.

You have two grenades on a chain, which wraps around the enemy. Within a few seconds, the grenades auto-detonate. So quite simply, the bad guy is dead the moment the chain wraps around him – it’s just a question of time. But you can set off the grenades earlier, and that gentle ‘click’ is way more satisfying than I ever suspected it would be.”

We’ll bring you more info on these crazy weapons soon. Stay tuned.
