DICE on Battlefield 3 being visually compared with Uncharted 3

Battlefield 3 is perhaps, the most anticipated shooter due for release this year. The footage that has been released so far, promises the world to gamers and it’s only fair that expectations are at an all-time high for it, to deliver.

So, how does it stack up against other upcoming games this year which have an AAA status behind them, such as Uncharted 3? Comparisons are inevitable but DICE’s executive producer, Patrick Bach isn’t a man to shy away from responding to such questions.

In an interview with CVG, when asked how the console version of BF3 compare against games such as Uncharted 3, Bach gave an confident reply:

I’m not too worried to be honest. I think we will be, if not the best-looking console game this year, up there with the competition. Honestly we’re not even trying to compare it, we’re just comparing to ourselves right now because if we were to look at other console games I don’t think we’d get the quality we are striving for. My goal is of course to prove it rather than talk about it, but I wouldn’t worry too much because I think it will look amazing.

From what we’ve seen so far, he isn’t speaking for nothing, however only time will how the console version of BF 3 stacks up against Uncharted 3, who’s known to be a visual beast in the making.

Whatever it is, gamers are in for a ride this year, something which they wouldn’t have any qualms against.

Battlefield 3 releases this fall for PS3, Xbox 360 and PC. A November release window has been confirmed for the game.

A pre-release demo has been confirmed for the game. Stay tuned for more updates.
