DiRT 4 Will Not Support PlayStation VR At Launch

Post release support remains a possibility h

Codemasters’ upcoming DiRT 4 will bring the high octane, thrilling rallying action to PS4 and Xbox One with the series’ first numbered instalment for current generation systems- and while we can expect the game to be a looker, it won’t be pushing all boundaries of tech. For instance, the game will definitely not e supporting the PlayStation VR at launch, Codemasters has confirmed.

DiRT 4 won’t be PSVR ready at launch, as until then we’re focusing on making the base game the best it can be,” Codemasters confirmed via Sony’s PlayStation Access. “However, it’s definitely something we’re considering once that’s done. Don’t worry – we’ll keep you posted on any updates on that front!”

So, it appears that for now, Codemasters is focused on simply polishing the actual game and releasing it- once that is done, they may look into VR support. I hope they do it, too, since VR would be ideally suited to a rallying game.
