Dishonored: Death of the Outsider – Arkane Boss Talks About OG+ Mode

Sounds interesting.

Dishonored: Death of the Outsider will be out later this year, and while, by virtue of being a standalone expansion, it’s going to shorter in length than a full release, it’s definitely going to have a lot of replay value. In an interview in which he talked at great length about several aspects of the game, Arkane boss Harvey Smith spoke about the OG+ mode and exactly what it entails.

“If you play through once as Billie Lurk, she has her signature set of powers and gadgets,” Smith said. “You can then play through again with what we call OG+, or Original Game +, and we’ve chosen three of Corvo’s and Emily’s powers from before that we then swap in. So you can replay Death of the Outsider with those three powers that we’ve chosen from the earlier games.”

Considering that it’s going to be shorter in length than a full release and that it’s priced a little lower at $29.99, that’s definitely great news. Replay value and value for money are never a bad thing. Plus, the idea of playing through the story with powers from previous games is definitely interesting.
