DmC aiming to compete with Bayonetta in gameplay

Capcom and Ninja Theory are collaborating together on Devil May Cry, which is a reboot of the well known franchise. People are a bit skeptical right now, due to the change in direction and it remains to be seen if it lives up to the original DmC games.

In an interview with Xbox Live, Tameem Antoniades, creative director of Ninja Theory and AlexJones, Capcom USA’s producer reveal that they are inspired by Bayonetta. They want to make sure that DmC is more like Bayonetta in gameplay, but it will have an unique identity when it comes to plot and story telling.

Bayonetta is definitely the bar these guys should be aiming when it comes to gameplay, and I can’t comment properly unless I see the final product from Ninja Theory, but it is nice that they are taking this so seriously and genuinely want to make a great game.
