Controversy and the gaming industry go hand in hand. There’s something controversial popping up seemingly every day, whether it’s for microtransactions, or murder. Still, there are some fairly dumb controversies that have occurred through history that still have us scratching our heads. Let’s take a look at 15 of them here.

Destiny: The Taken King and Emotes

Destiny players can get upset over the weirdest things. In 2015 prior to The Taken King being released, players were annoyed that the newest dances aka Emotes for each subclass were being restricted to the Collector’s Edition. Granted, they hadn’t had new dances in a while but such was the outrage that Bungie actually priced them separately for $20 to appease folk. There was also something director Luke Smith said about throwing money at the screen. Yeah, that didn’t help.
