Dungeons of Hinterberg is a new third-person action game with a unique art style unveiled during Xbox Games Showcase 2023. A trailer for the game has been released, which gives us a decent look at some of the gameplay we can expect in Dungeons of Hinterberg. Check out the trailer below.
Dungeons of Hinterberg revolves around protagonist Luisa. While we don’t have much of an idea about the game’s plot, we did get to see quite a bit of combat as well as traversal gameplay. Going by the trailer, the hack-and-slash action in Dungeons of Hinterberg seems to be coupled with interesting traversal which features mine carts and rail grinding.
The game takes place in the village of Hinterberg, which has seen a recent growth in tourism thanks to the presence of its magical dungeons and new mythical creatures. The village, located in the Austrian Alps, will have Luisa going through these dungeons to take on the beasts for herself.
According to the trailer’s description, it looks like Dungeons of Hinterberg will also feature social aspects, including building and maintaining of relationships. The game is slated for release in 2024, and is seemingly only coming to Xbox Series X/S.
