Tecmo Koei has announced the release date for Dynasty Warriors 7 Empires which is a PS3 exclusive game. The game will be out late February next year.

There are 66 playable characters in the game now with new character called Xu Shu, who is an advisor of the warlord Liu Bei. The game gives players two choices to change history’s outcome, either they can gain fame in battle and rule their own nation and be called a ‘Ruler’ or use strategy and invade neighboring territories as a ‘Strategist’

Or you can also become a mercenary and sell your services as a ‘Free Officer’. The choices made during the strategy and battle phases have an impact on the character’s position for personalized play styles.

You also have access to a wide variety of tactics known as Stratagems, “from ones that affect the terrain (such as Flood Attacks and Rockslides), to Volleys that can rain arrows down on the enemy, or even ones that can increase characters’ individual abilities.”

Knowing these strategies well will play an important part in achieving success.
