Koei Tecmo has just updated their official site with new details about collection and exploration aspects of the game along with screenshots. They’ve also released five new action trailers for the following officers: Deng Ai, Yuan Shao, Yueying, Cao Xiu, and Zhu Ran.
The information about collection and exploration emphasizes the importance of watchtowers which act as vantage points and provides valuable information. New details about laying traps to gain items, fishing, and hunting have also been revealed. Players can earn hunting points along with other rewards by engaging in hunting animals. There certainly seems to be a lot to do in the open world in this game. We’ll have to wait and see what it is actually like since this is the first time that a title from the series features an open world.
Dynasty Warriors 9 is set to release for the PS4 on February 8 in Japan and will release for the PS4, Xbox One and PC on February 13 in North America and Europe. You can check out the new action trailers and screenshots below.
