Just as we all expected, EA Sports has announced a FIFA tie-in game with the upcoming 2014 FIFA World Cup taking place in Brazil this summer. It will 17th April in Europe and 15th April in North America for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 exclusively and no other system, but EA will be releasing World Cup content for FUT, so Xbox One and PS4 owners can seek solace in that if they don’t have one of the HD twins.

“We are making the best game we can for our largest audience, which is still on 360 & PS3,” says EA.

2014 FIFA World Brazil boasts of several new features, including a hundred new animations, 21 new stadiums (including all 12 World Cup venus in Brazil), 19 officially licensed managers, 7469 players, 203 national teams, and new crowd scenes such as banners, flags and seat cards.

There will be the typical Road to FIFA World Cup mode which will allow you to play from the qualifying stages through to the finals, and the Road to Rio de Janeiro to play it online.
