EA Is Very Happy With EA Access On Xbox One

And will start promoting it with Microsoft this Summer.

EA Access

EA Access, EA’s digital service that lets players get their hands on a catalog of EA titles, past, present, and currently unreleased, has been a major success for the corporation on Xbox One, it seems. Apparently, EA is extremely pleased with the service and the numbers it has posted, and it plans on investing in it further.

The success of EA Access should come as a bit of a surprise to most people, not because it is flawed or undesirable, but mostly because of how little effort EA has put into it so far, by their own admission. There has been little to no promotion of the service, and EA often forgets to update its catalog for weeks on end.

All of that will be changing now- EA has vowed that it will be promoting the service a whole lot more, going forward, not least because it is “learning a great deal” about players’ interest in subscription models from it.

We’ll see how it goes.
