It’s time for EA’s quarter 1 2013 press filing, and according to that they’ve posted a $130 million loss, but the entire business structure was quite solid. They pulled in $1.3 billion from digital products and surprising thing is that the consoles only contributed $400 million out of the total.

Battlefield 3’s premium service has 1.3 million subscribers so far and Star Wars: The Old Republic’s subscriber count falls below 1 million. They have announced plans for the MMO to go free-to-play soon.

EA also said that Battlefield 3 and FIFA 12 “outperformed expectations” selling 2 million units together for that specific quarter. Battlefield 3 shipped 15 million units according to EA so according to new data, it should be at approx. 16 million. FIFA 12 has surpassed 10 million sales as well.

“We have established an unmatched diversity in our business with multiple brands performing across several channels, business models and geographies. This allows us to drive profitable growth in a rapidly transforming marketplace for games,” said EA CEO John Riccitiello.
