EA Sports Discusses Bringing Players To Life In New NBA Live 15 Developer Diary

Surprisingly, they seem to be doing a good job of it.

NBA Live 14, which was the return of EA Sports’ basketball series after a bit of a hiatus, was panned upon release (especially in comparison to 2K’s excellent NBA 2K14). That doesn’t seem to have deterred EA from trying again though, as apparently, there will be an NBA Live 15 this year. And the new developer diary shows us how EA Sports is trying to bring NBA players to life in the game with the maximum possible degree of detail and authenticity.

So far, it looks great- in fact, I daresay that EA Sports have made stellar progress already, with the models looking almost on par with the ones in NBA 2K14. Of course, there is more to a game than character models, and even in just that regard, EA Sports still has a ways to go, but the fact that they have identified the fact that there was a problem, and begun to work on rectifying it, is already a great start.
