While EA’s current output of games has been inconsistent at best, they do have an excellent back catalogue, and many of us have been hoping for remasters of several games from that long list of games. EA has, till now, mostly stayed away from such remasters, with the exception of last year’s Burnout Paradise Remastered, but the publisher is now ready to move ahead with even more such releases.

In their recent quarterly investors call, EA COO and CFO Blake Jorgensen laid out the publisher’s plans for the upcoming fiscal year, which runs from April 2020 to March 2021. Among other things, during that period EA plans to “deliver some exciting remasters of fan favorites”, including the upcoming Command and Conquer remaster.

Fans of the Mass Effect and Dead Space trilogies would be hoping that those are the games EA is referring to, and I personally hope that that’s true. Beyond those, there’s plenty of other alternative options as well. EA could always look into remastering some of the older Battlefield titles, such as the fan-favourite Bad Company games, while others such as older Burnout titles are also possible options.

Either way, we should find out soon enough. Stay tuned for any and all updates.
