Earth Defense Force 4.1 and Earth Defense Force 2, the latest entries in the franchise that launched for the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita, will be launching later this year in Europe, courtesy of PQube.

Both of these Earth Defense Force games were developed by the original developers of the franchise, Sandlot. The PlayStation 4 version is the first new-generation offering in the series, Earth Defense Force 4.1: The Shadow of New Despair. It is a complete re-imagining of the previously released Earth Defense Force 2025. Earth Defense Force 2, on the other hand, remasters PlayStation 2’s Global Defense Force 2, often considered to be the best game in the franchise, and brings all the action that the franchise is known for unadulterated and undiluted into the palm of your hand, thanks to a seamless transition to the PS Vita.

Earth Defense Force 4.1: The Shadow of New Despair and Earth Defense Force 2: Invaders from Planet Space will appear on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita respectively, both in Q4 2015. Stay tuned to GamingBolt for more information and coverage.
