Elden Ring Will Not Be At The Tokyo Game Show

FromSoftware's next title is seemingly MIA at the conference.

FromSoftware will return to dark fantasy with the upcoming Elden Ring. The trailer for the game makes that pretty clear, and we know that the game will be very similar in its storytelling and combat to their flagship Dark Souls franchise. But it seems those waiting to see the full picture will have to wait longer than expected, as the game will not be making it to the next big gaming conference in Japan.

Earlier today Bandai Namco released their schedule for The Tokyo Game Show, the biggest gaming convention in Japan and probably the third or fourth worldwide. Elden Ring will not be part of that show, meaning it will miss another major conference.

It’s hard to say what this means, especially since FromSoftware has generally been given the freedom to market their games as they want to, so whether this means Elden Ring is pretty far out from launch, or if From just isn’t ready to show it, is anyone’s guess. We’ll just have to wait and see.
