While the biggest criticism that’s been lobbed at the Epic Games Store is its aggressive use of exclusive deals with third parties, let’s not go there (I mean, seriously, let’s just…not). It’s not the only issue that people have with the store, though, as the storefront/launcher was as barebones as it gets when it launched at the end of last year. While it’s slowly been updated, it’s still not nearly to the same standard as other storefronts. Well, the year is over and we can say it has tried to catch up a little.

Epic Games detailed the final bits of their update for the launcher in 2019. It includes store optimization, library grid polish as well as coupons that will come up during special events, such as the current Holiday sale. It’s not much, but it’s something. They also mention that for 2020 some of the first features they plan to implement is wishlists and critic reviews. You can read more about it through here.

The final update of the year is live now for the Epic Games Store. We’ll keep you updated on when more features get updated.
