The UK is a hotbed for quality game development talent, and it appears that more and more development houses want a piece of that action. For instance, consider Epic Games. They have announced that they will be collaborating with a long time collaborator of theirs, Pitbull Studio, which will now be renamed as Epic Games UK, to give Epic’s game development process some presence in the country, Eurogamer reports.

“Pitbull has been essential in helping us develop the best tools and technology for building the next generation of games,” explained Epic founder Tim Sweeney. “They’ve been invested in UE4’s evolution since its early beginnings, and their dedication is unflinching.”

“Becoming Epic Games UK was the next logical step in our relationship with Epic,” the new studio’s boss Robert Troughton added. “We’re looking forward to expanding our amazing team here in the UK.”

If you live in the UK and are interested in game or game engine development, this will also present you with an excellent job opportunity, as there are lots of roles currently open, courting job applications on the Epic website.
