f1 2015

Just in case you thought the resolution wars on the new consoles were over, well, they are not. Codemasters has confirmed that their upcoming F1 2015, which marks their maiden effort on the new generation consoles, will run at 1080p on PS4, while only running at 900p on Xbox One.

That’s not all- it appears that while they can guarantee a 60FPS framerate for PS4, they’re a bit more evasive about that when it comes to the Xbox One.

“On console we’ve had it very, very close to 60fps, certainly on PS4,” F1 2015’s game designer Steven Embling told Eurogamer. “Everyone at the studio is doing a fantastic with the optimisation, and we’re in the final couple of months before release where there’s a big push that we hit that 60fps, and that’s the plan.”

So at least it sounds like they are trying to work those kinks out. F1 2015 will release on Xbox One, PS4, and PC in June.
