Arguably the best part of the F1 racing games put out by Codemasters every year is the career modes in them. More than even how well the games nail down the racing, the physics, and the authenticity with which they recreate the tracks, events, schedule, and atmosphere of the actual F1 events, it’s the elaborate career mode that stands out.

The career mode allows you different progression paths, based on what team you choose to join up with, and features a lot of systems and mechanics to realistically convey the feeling of making your way through the motorsport world. Codemasters, to their credit, never sit on their laurels, and build and iterate on it every year. So too they shall do this year- and to show us how, they have put out a new video.

The video, which you can see for yourself below, is a developer diary that talks about the career mode, specifically focusing on how you can give interviews to the press, leading to news snippets and headlines made from your quotes.

F1 2018 comes out on August 24 for PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
