Publisher EA Sports and developer Codemasters have released part two of their series of deep dives into the upcoming sim racing game F1 23. The new deep dive video this time around focuses on the Braking Point story mode, as well as F1 World. Check it out below.

The return of the Braking Point mode in F1 23 brings with it new characters, new storylines, as well as new drama to go along with it. Titled Braking Point 2, the story mode will take players across the 2022 and 2023 F1 seasons, and will focus on the fictional team Konnersport.

The story will revolve around two characters—Aiden Jackson and Devon Butler. The two rivals, however, will have to fight to keep their place in the team in light of a new racer joining the team. The player’s actions on and off the track will also have an impact on various stats, such as their performance abilities and reputation.

The other focus of the deep dive video is F1 World—a new hub for seasonal content that changes daily, weekly, and over a longer period of time. Players can compete in events updated throughout a season to level up their tech level and earn upgrades. Alongside multiplayer options, F1 World will also features solo modes revolving around single-player races. Content drops to the modes will align with real-world developments in the sport.

F1 23 will also feature a new revamped ranked multiplayer mode with a new division-based ranking system. The new system will allow players to race their way across different ranks, ultimately topping out at the Elite rank. The ranked mode will feature rank promotions on a weekly basis.

F1 23 is slated for release on June 16, and will be coming to PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S. For more details on the game, check out our coverage of the first episode of the game’s deep dive series.
