That's a lot of eggs.

Fall Guys Ultimate Knockout

There are times when a certain game just manages to grab the imagination of many, and combine that with the right time and circumstances, you have the making for an overnight sensation. That looks to be the case for Mediatonic and Devolver Digital’s Fall Guys: Ultimate Knockout. The game came to PS4 and PC near the beginning of this month and now has seemingly been a huge success on PS4 alone.

Gamstat is a website that measures player data via PS4 trophy data, and they are seeing that over 8 million players have played Fall Guys (8,200,000 to be exact) since it became available. Generally a stat like this is not an indication of actual sales, and since the game was free on PS Plus, so it’s pretty much impossible to figure out a real sales number here, but between this and the 2 million we know it sold on Steam already, we have a megahit on our hands.

Fall Guys: Ultimate Knockout is available now for PlayStation 4 (where it is still free on PS Plus) and PC. The game is also set to have one of its first major update soon, which you can read about through here.
