Fallout 4

Your faithful dog companion aka Dogmeat in Fallout 3 may have been susceptible to death but that won’t happen with Fallout 4. According to Bethesda’s Todd Howard on Twitter, Dogmeat simply cannot die in the upcoming open world post-apocalyptic shooter.

The change is a pretty good one though it will be worth waiting to see how the overall game balances out (an immortal canine is a powerful ally after all). On the other hand, it does take away some of the danger of traveling the wasteland with your dog, unsure of the fate that will befall him.

Fallout 4 was announced prior to Bethesda’s E3 2015 press event and will be releasing on November 10th for PS4, Xbox One and PC. It will take place in Boston and also include scenes from before the nuclear apocalypse where you’ll design your character and find out his back-story.

Will you be picking up Fallout 4 on release? Let us know in the comments below.
