Far Cry 3 Hardcore Mode

Because not all mods are about making things easier. Though vanilla Far Cry 3 lacks a hardcore difficulty setting by default, this mod makes your masochistic gaming dreams and all too painful reality. Removing pretty much any tracking symbol, resource location mark and map icon visible in the game, this makes exploration a truly adventurous affair. Couple it with the minimap remover for maximum results.

Far Cry 3 Crafting Mod

Though a small tweak, the new crafting and economy mod has a significant impact on your inventory management throughout Far Cry 3. The big difference is in how important plants suddenly become in the production of pretty much anything. Expect this mod to turn the game into a first person adventure game rather than a shooter; not that this is necessarily a bad thing.

Extremely in-depth Realism Mod

Attachments are always a good thing. People love powering stuff up and gamers are always up for a bit of customisation, so attachments are like the holy grail of gaming joy in many an FPS. That’s why it’s such a shame that options are so limited for Far Cry 3’s trusty early weapons. With this attachments mod though, the faithful 1911 pistol, AK47 and SVD all get a whole lot more interesting. The guns will also have realistic performance and will have different reload times. This mod also consists of Leechmonger’s Attachment mod (modified slightly) and Khenaz’ Better Sights mod.

This mod changes the following:

  • All guns have more realistic performance in the game.
  • Damage is based on actual weapon terminal ballistics tests
  • Sway in sights and aiming are factors of the weapon’s weight
  • Recoil is a factor related to actual weapon recoil, incorporating bullet weight, powder, velocity, and weight of weapon
  • Accuracy is based on actual Minute of Arc extreme spreads for the most realism
  • Reload time is 25% slower on Assault Rifles, LMG’s, and SMG’s
  • All weapons have realistic magazine capacities, including with Extended Magazines
  • All weapons have vastly more maximum range
  • Weapons have proper rates of fire (most especially that PKM.)
  • Weapons have a new attachment setup that is a modified version of Leechmonger’s attachments mod.
