Far Cry 3: Creating a more intense experience with the character

"Do you know the definition of insanity".

You literally merge with Far Cry 3’s protagonist, according to Ubisoft. The first-person view is great for immersing the player into the game, as we’ve seen from Mirror’s Edge and Dishonored. Far Cry 3 has some elements which will allow the player to really be the protagonist.

Lead producer of the game Dan Hayes said: “I think first person is this a big advantage. You are in Brody’s skin … If Vaas is directly in front of you and you like a piece of meat treated, you will feel the importance of his presence and just want to get out only. It will completely sink into it.” (Via Playfront.de)

The translation is a bit iffy, but you can understand what he wanted to say. Vaas is the main antagonist of the game and Brody is the main protagonist, and Vaas is also also the guy who made the line “Do you know the definition of insanity” famous.
