Who are these people and what the hell is going on? Here are your answers.

For all it’s faults and problems with day one releases (we’re looking at you, Assassin’s Creed 3), Ubisoft knows how bring out the visceral nature inherent in the game’s story-line. As with Far Cry 3, whose story trailer shows us what’s going down in the paradise that is The Rook Islands and how Jason Brody figures into it all.

Deep down in insanity there is a place left by humanity and honor: The Rook Islands, a tropical paradise that hides a century of horrors and misery.

Essentially, Brody is a tourist stranded on the islands who must rescue his friends. Of course, when the whole world is crazy and he’s forced to embrace his inner savagery, it only makes things more complicated.

Kind of like Lost, without all the ambiguity (so not like Lost at all then).

Far Cry 3 releases on November 29th in Europe and November 30th in the United-Kingdom for PC, Xbox 360 and PS3.
