Far Cry 4 Will Let You Ride Elephants In The Himalayas

Will feature rideable elephants.

Posted By | On 22nd, Mar. 2014

Sources close to the Far Cry 4 project at Ubisoft have told Eurogamer that the next installment in the first person shooter franchise will be set in the hilly backdrop of the Himalayas, which will be in huge contrast to the tropical settings of the first three Far Cry titles. So the earlier rumors are somewhat confirmed now.

The setting will allow for the developers to include some features that will be completely new to the series- like riding an elephant in the hilly jungles of the Himalayas, which we will be able to do in the game.

The gameplay of the title will be largely similar, with a similarly structured map that will have the players liberating outposts like we saw in Far Cry 3.

The sources close to the project said that Ubisoft is targeting a release for the title before March of 2015, and that it will probably come out for the PC, PS4 and Xbox One.

We’ll keep you updated, so stay tuned and keeping watching this space.

Thanks, EuroGamer
