Since yesterday, there has been some misunderstanding regarding Ubisoft’s upcoming Far Cry 4, and some fallout resulting from said misunderstanding- you see, there was a multiplayer mode that was available as part of the Season Pass of the game, which lef to the belief that the game was locking its multiplayer mode behind its own paywall. Today, creative director Alex Hutchinson tried to clear the air up.
“Just so it’s clear: Multiplayer is for everyone who buys FC4, no need to buy anything else,” Hutchinson said on Twitter. “There is an extra mode in DLC.”
The mode in question is Overrun, which is available only to those who purchase the $30 Season Pass; the wording of the press release for the season pass made it difficult to determine whether or not the game would have any other multiplayer mode.
Far Cry 4 launches next month for PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, Xbox One, and PC.
