Far Cry 5 Tech Video Showcases Open World, High End Graphics And More

Check out some fresh new footage.

Ubisoft have released what is the latest in a series of developer diary videos for their upcoming megaton shooter, Far Cry 5, and not only is the footage shown absolutely gorgeous, the video also tells us a lot about the game’s setting of Montana and how its open world will be designed.

In the video, several members of the Ubisoft development team talk about how Montana is a different setting than what Far Cry fans might be used to, and that they chose such a setting for its incredible atmosphere and diverse landscapes. In the video, the team also talks about the advantages of having the game set in a location that is closer to the real world and, as a result, more easily relatable, than settings in previous Far Cry games have been.

What’s most striking about the video, though, is the fact that the game looks unbelievably incredible. It seems to be crammed with details, and everything from the lighting to the shadows to even the minutest features look sharp and incredibly realized. You should take a look below.

Far Cry 5 launches in February of 2018 for the Xbox One, PS4 and PC. Stay tuned to GamingBolt for continued coverage on the game.
