The Switch may not be breaking records in the UK like it is in the rest of the world, but it continues to be a silent seller, trucking along silently in the background; as the install base continues to grow, so too do game sales. And it seems as though third party game sales are benefitting from the increased surge of Switch owners, too.
The Nintendo Switch version of FIFA 18, for example, saw a staggering 494% sales boost in the UK last week, which ended with it outselling the Xbox One version of the game. The sales boost was actually thanks to price cuts for FIFA 18 across the board, but the Switch version seems to have received the largest one (which makes sense, since it was the most expensive one to begin with), and benefitted the most, too.
As a result, the Switch version of FIFA 18 is now the sixth best selling game for February in the UK on Amazon- which is good performance, and seems to bode well for future EA support on the platform, too.
FIFA 18 is available now on PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC.
