Final Fantasy 7 PC Port on PS4 Will Be Getting a 48 Hour Livestream That Starts On December 25

The PS4 port of the PC game, not the remake.

Final Fantasy 7 Remake

UPDATE: Using Google Translate is always an iffy proposition- in this case, the poor translation led us to believe that the 48 hour livestream is for the FF7 remake, not the PS4 port of the PC port of the classic PS1 game. However, it turns out the livestream will indeed be for the PS4 port of the PC version of the title (thank you to ZHugeEX in the comments section for bringing this to our attention)- in this case, we are not likely to learn much about a game that in this form, is nearly 20 years old, though at the very least, we could learn some Trophy names.

GamingBolt regrets the error.

ORIGINAL STORY:

Square Enix’s upcoming remake of Final Fantasy 7 will be getting a 48 hour long livestream that will start this Friday, on Christmas day, the company announced today. The stream will be in Japanese, and will feature game producer Yoshinori Kitase, speaking about the game and its development.

Considering just how thick and fast the new information seems to be coming in for this game, it’s unclear exactly how much new information on the title will be unveiled during this stream- it’s entirely possible that Square Enix just goes over all the information they have already announced for the title again in a more compact, condensed format.

Then again, it is also possible we get to see more of the game itself and learn more about it- given that the first part of the remake, at the very least, has already had its scenario finalized, we may get to learn more about the title, especially about some of the things that Square Enix has been keeping under wraps, such as the world map.

Stay tuned to GamingBolt, and we’ll update you on whatever it is that the stream is about.
