Final Fantasy X | X-2 HD Releasing in NA On March 18

Europe gets them March 21.

Posted By | On 18th, Nov. 2013

Square Enix’s remaster of their PlayStation 2 classic RPG Final Fantasy X (along with its sequel, Final Fantasy X-2), will be hitting the PlayStation 3 on March 18 in North America, with a European release following three days later.

Interestingly enough, no release for the PlayStation Vita versions of the games has been announced for the west- if you remember, the Vita gets both games too, albeit unbundled. The two are collectively undoubtedly the biggest Vita release on the horizon, so if Square Enix decides to skip the handheld release in the west, it will be a blow to the already struggling system.

But that’s sad stuff, and let’s not think about it when discussing a release meant to celebrate a widely beloved classic. Let’s talk about how Final Fantasy X | X-2 HD will include the additional missions that before now had only been available in the international versions; it will also include some redone, gorgeous artwork.

Enjoy the new extended trailer too, by the way.
